We offer a wide range of high quality heat treatments. Always attentive to the needs of our costumers we offer a tailor-made service guaranteeing results of rigorous precision. For a correct management of the production process we have been ISO9001 certified since 2007 and for a particular attention to environmental aspects ISO14001 since 2019. To support the production phases we have an internal metallographic laboratory which can also be used to conduct third party tests.

NEWS

HARDENING

TTT – The hardening treatment, in addition to AC1, includes an austenitization followed by a cooling down to a temperature below Ms.
Cooling must be rapid in such a way as to allow the complete transformation from austenite to martensite, a structure of high hardness and brittleness.
To achieve a perfect hardening, as if to say is a 100% martensitic structure, it is necessary that the cooling rate is higher than the critical one typical of each steel.

TEMPERING-STRESS RELIEVING

TTT – Heat treatment to which a hardened piece is subjected to obtain the values ​​required for certain mechanical characteristics.
It consists of one or more heaters at a predetermined temperature (lower than AC1), in the permanence at this temperature and in the subsequent suitable cooling.
Tempering generally leads to a reduction in hardness.

QUENCHING

TTT – The quenching includes the treatment of hardening and tempering at a high temperature in order to obtain the required combination of mechanical characteristics.
Normally this heat treatment is carried out when a high toughness of the parts must be obtained.

CRYOGENIC HARDENING

TTT – The cryogenic hardening treatment is a treatment that is performed after the austenitizing one.
It serves to transform the residual austenite into martensite to a large extent.

ANNEALING

TTT – Heat treatment consisting of heating to a certain temperature, permanence and cooling so that the state of the material at room temperature is close to the state of equilibrium.

PRECIPITATION HARDENING

TTT – Increase of the hardness of a ferrous material by precipitation of an alloy component in a supersaturated solution.
Precipitation hardening is usually a heat treatment that consists of solubilization and aging.

BRAZINGS

TTT – This is a procedure that allows the creation of welded joints by capillary infiltration of the molten filler metal between the almost joined and unfused edges of the base metal.

MECHANICAL TESTS

TTT – Hardness tests HB, HRB, HRA, HRC, HV

SPECTROMETRIC ANALYSIS

TTT – Chemical analysis on ferrous materials with determination of the alloying elements and their concentration

METALLOGRAPHIC ANALYSIS

TTT – Macro tests for the identification of flaws and microscopic tests for metallographic structure analysis.
Measurement of hardened layers and measurements of surface decarburizations.
